Electrotherapy

Electrotherapy is applied as an adjuvant treatment to promote resorption of the effusion and to reduce pain. By electrostimulation in combination with active therapy forms with regard to joint effusion, swelling and pain between day 7 and 12 weeks after surgery, significantly better results can be achieved than with active therapy forms alone.
