For treatment of acceleration trauma, the following forms of therapy are available:
Deep oscillation for clinical applications
Electrotherapy combined with active therapy forms can lead to significantly better results in the subacute stage than conventional treatment with neck brace can. The AWMF guideline "Acceleration trauma of the cervical spine" likewise provides for electrotherapy among the physical therapy measures in the context of the therapy recommendations given.
Deep oscillation has an immediate pain-relieving and muscle-relaxing effect. Due to its gentle action, treatment with deep oscillation is not contraindicated in the acute phase, and it is positively received by patients (also in the subacute and chronic stages).
